Work Experience

Web Developer at Seoslon, Krasnoyarsk, 09.2024–10.2025

I was responsible for technical support and improvements of more than 30 client websites on WordPress, 1C-Bitrix, Joomla, ModX, Yii2, OpenCart, and ocStore. The work combined feature development, CMS maintenance, hosting-related troubleshooting, performance optimization, and direct cooperation with SEO specialists, designers, and project managers.

My tasks included online payment integration, preparing technical estimates for commercial proposals, improving PageSpeed Insights results across all 4 categories, migrating websites to new hosting providers, and automating content collection and processing with Node.js and Puppeteer. On average, performance scores improved by about 40 points, while accessibility and best-practices scores improved by about 30 points.

One of the key projects was building the online store geodemines.ru from scratch on WordPress and WooCommerce with a custom theme based on Hello Elementor. I implemented the required functionality with ACF, CPT UI, WBW Product Filter, Contact Form 7, and W3 Total Cache with custom hooks for precise cache invalidation.

My work enabled the company to take on more complex and higher-value projects that had previously been out of reach.

Thanks to the efforts of the entire team, we set a record for monthly profit over the previous 10 years. I actively participated in planning and strategic discussions, which helped me connect implementation details with business, SEO, design, and client-service constraints.

System Administrator, Cloud Solutions Department, NLS Kazakhstan, Almaty, since 10.2025

Although this is primarily an infrastructure role, it improved my web-development work from the hosting side. I now better understand how hosting providers operate, what problems they solve for clients, where CMS and application issues overlap with infrastructure, and how decisions around DNS, mail, backups, virtualization, storage, monitoring, and server configuration affect real websites.

For internal operations, I developed a Node.js-based tool that provisions separate streamed Chrome sessions for users. Before each session is created, the tool copies the current cookies and localStorage into the browser environment, allowing staff to work with a shared service through a controlled browser session without repeated manual authorization or inconsistent state across devices.

Translator at GEOSTEERING Ltd., Krasnoyarsk, 06.2023–02.2024

Field: Oil and Gas Industry

Translated documentation, technical support manuals, and promotional materials for the company's software into English and Spanish, occasionally into Russian, and corrected the website translation on WordPress. I also compiled a multilingual glossary and developed a tool for searching examples of term usage in a corpus of translated texts.

About Me

Even before starting my career in web development, I had formed a clear set of principles regarding accessibility, usability, and website performance. This was largely thanks to being involved in the professional community, in particular the “Web Standards” podcast, which I have been regularly listening to since 2017. I share their approach: coding according to specifications, thinking about the user, and genuinely loving your craft. These principles, reinforced by practical advice from the episodes, are something I consciously integrate into my daily work.

Education

Siberian Federal University, School of Philology and Language Communication

Linguistics (Bachelor's), 2020–2024

Technology is a field I have been interested in, studied, and worked in throughout my life, with a focus on web development, localization, user experience, security, and systems design. As for my linguistic education, it helps me see more ways in which technology can be applied around the world, allowing me to take into account many more perspectives in my decisions.
